Current research results of a relative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Online event<br \/>\n<\/strong>Wednesday, July 19, 2023<br \/>\n15:00 till 16:30<\/p>\n<p>Relatives and loved ones of people with mental illness are exposed to high levels of stress.<br \/>\nThey need reliable information and often even tailored support from the psychia-<br \/>\ntrical and psychosocial care system. However, the reality is different.<\/p>\n<p>This motivated Heike Petereit-Zipfel in 2022 to use a peer-supported research project to investigate the sub-<br \/>\nThe aim is to examine the need for support in greater detail and to identify possible solutions. For this purpose the<br \/>\nAreas<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>physical and mental health,<\/li>\n<li>social situation,<\/li>\n<li>economic situation, and<\/li>\n<li>(social) legal issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>in view.<\/p>\n<p>1,234 people participated in the research. This extraordinarily high participation<br \/>\ngives an idea of what the study proves: The need for action is complex and urgent. Heike Petereit-<br \/>\nZipfel will show new ways in her presentation. Because relatives see themselves more and<br \/>\nMore than experts in their own field, they want to be perceived, appreciated and involved as such.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heike Petereit-Zipfel<\/strong> is a social worker (BA), a psychotherapeutic alternative practitioner, solution-oriented<br \/>\nfocused counselor, systemic family coach and instructor for MHFA first aider courses<br \/>\nfor mental health. She has been running a consulting practice for eleven years. Serious mental<br \/>\nhealth problems of her eldest son, and with it many challenging and co-<br \/>\nunder discriminatory situations for the entire family led to an intensive honorary<br \/>\nThe members of the association are also involved in the organized representation of their interests. She is deputy<br \/>\nChairwoman of the Bundesverband der Angeh\u00f6rigen psychisch erkrankter Menschen e.V. From 2013 to<br \/>\n2023 she was on the board of the Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg state association of relatives of mentally er-<br \/>\nkrankter Menschen e.V., of which 2021 &#8211; 2023 as Chairwoman.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participation<\/strong><br \/>\nInvited are interested people from the voluntary and public welfare, relatives and<br \/>\nAffected.
